Background
AKA is a beautiful, ambient hair salon and a mainstay of Gloucester Road. Through the years the business has continually evolved, and during lockdown owners Richard and Bev decided it was time to go for a brand refresh. They loved their signature red but thought a more contemporary look would suit the salon as it is now. I’ve had the good fortune to work alongside this dynamic duo several times, and when they asked me if I would like to assist with a rebrand and the creation of a new website, I immediately said yes.
My work
Firstly I put together a team that consisted of myself, an excellent web developer and a very talented photographer – professionals I have worked with on numerous projects, who’ve never failed to deliver (in fact they’re the exact opposite and always go beyond my client’s expectations). Working closely with Richard and Bev, we started by discussing the web content they would like and then agreed on the look, feel and tone of the site.
I then created all of the copy, whilst managing the web build and image selection. I am happy to report the brief was delivered on time, on budget and my client is thrilled with their new website and branding. So all in all, a good day at the office.
